APPLES APPLES AND MORE APPLES

My mother, and my sisters and I spent the afternoon canning applesauce and apple pie filling. Sierra once asked, "Mom someday can we have a house that has trees in the yard that grows food on them, like apples?" I was so excited this was a goal of hers too. I would love to have a small orchard someday on my property with apples, pears and peaches and a row of grapes. Sigh. Until then, it was so nice of my mother's neighbor to let us pick the apples from her yard. Then we got to make delicious canned goods from them. I am excited to make a delicious pie someday very soon.
